Jack Bruce
Chief Operating Officer
Jack joined BIS Benefits in 2004 as Operations Manager, a position he held until being appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2008. As COO, Jack oversees many facets of the business’ operations, including Human Resources, Finance, Strategic Management and Communications.
Prior to joining BIS Benefits, Jack served for nearly 20 years in pastoral ministry. An ordained minister, he held positions as a senior pastor in Northeast Tennessee and as an Associate Pastor in Gwinnett County.
Jack is active in SHRM-Atlanta (Society of Human Resource Management), where he currently volunteers and serves as the Vice-President of GEMs. He is a recipient of the SHRM-Atlanta 2011 Presidential Volunteer Leadership Award. He also is a member of the Human Resource Management of Association (HRMA) of Gwinnett. He is active on the Atlanta HR Prayer Breakfast Host Committee, in the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce and the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce. Jack has obtained his Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation and holds a Georgia Life and Health License.
Jack holds a bachelor’s degree from Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota and a Masters of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York. He enjoys Alabama football, Tweeting, reading, and running — having completed three marathons since March 2011. He and his wife have four children and reside Gwinnett County.
